Level 1 Motorcycle Service and repair -

Fridays 9am - 4.30pm one year duration - 16 Sept 05 for 35 weeks

This course comprises of 3 units - Health & Safety /Removing & Replacement of Components and Service & Repair.

Fees, Certificate Fees £69.50 + £330.00

 

Level 2 Motorcycle Service & Repair - 

Thursdays 9am - 4.30pm two year duration - 15 Sept 05 for 35 weeks

This course comprises of 3 units - Health & Safety / Removing & Replacing Components (level 2 tasks) and Fault Diagnostics.

Fees, Certificate Fees £69.50 + £330.00

 

Daytime Courses. NVQ

Level 2 Motorcycle Service & Repair -

Day release for people employed within the motorcycle industry who wish to work towards fully qualified status.

Year 1 Thursday 9am - 4.30pm one year duration - 15 Sept 05 for 35 weeks
Year 2 Wednesdays 9am - 4.30pm one year duration - 14 Sept 05 for 35 weeks

Fees, Certificate fees £148.00 + Course Fees £330.00

 

Level 3 Motorcycle Service & Repair -

Day release for candidates presently engaged in the motorcycle trade who have a level 2 or equivalent.

Wednesdays 9am - 4.30pm one year duration - 14 Sept 05 for 35 weeks

Fees, Certificate fees £140.50 + Course Fees £410

 
Each of the above courses offer excellent progression opportunities for candidates to progressively develop their skills and knowledge.
 
Evening Courses
 
Motorcycle Repair & Maintenance ASET.
Introduction to motorcycle scheduled maintanence including simple servicing and repair. Bring your own bike or work on College bikes.

Ideal for people new to bikes or returning to them.

Wednesday evenings 6.30pm - 9pm x 12 weeks.

Evening courses are offered 3 times per year starting, September- Dec, January- Apr and April- June.

Fees, Certificate Fee £9.50 + Course Fee £125.00

 
Motorcycle Repair & Maintenance C&G  3991
Intermediate - Designed for candidates who have some prior understanding of bike maintenance and who want to develop their skills .

Monday evenings 6.30pm - 9pm x 12 weeks.

 
Evening courses are offered 3 times per year starting, September- Dec, January- Apr and April- June

Fees, C&G Certificate Fee £29.00 + Course Fee £100.00

FMT CASTLEFORD LTD : NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR BIKERS WITH DISABILITIES : WHITWOOD COLLEGE

FMT have re-trained a disabled rider back to DSA instructor level for CBT & Road training. The NABD provided a grant to supply a Klictronic gear changer to enable gear changes from the handlebars by means of a thumb control. Whitwood college motorcycle maintenance department, fitted the Kliktronic device free of charge under direct supervision of the tutor Mr Ian Smith. For details of the NABD click here.
